Art Rehab – Arts Therapy and Counselling

Creative mental health support for challenged, vulnerable, neurodivergent or otherwise disabled kids.

30 min to 1 hour sessions in a private space

1:1, sibling and group support for kids of all ages

Multimodal creative processes are adapted to the children’s needs, strengths, abilities and interests with the focus on building internal and external resources for regulation and well-being.

Cre8ive Kids – Lunch Time Therapeutic Art Club

Focuses on expressive art making, play, experimentation, flow, friendship and fun! Kids can bring their lunch and make art at the same time!

Ideal for set ages/grades - Preps, Grades 1s+2s through to Year 11s+12s

Creative prompts are open-ended with no particular end result to allow for maximum imagination!

Mindful guided movement and breathwork to music from around the world

Teachers Chill Time

Because teachers need creative downtime too!

Creative processes are inspired by those designed for kids as listed above, but are adapted to be more “grown up” with a focus on slowing down, self expression, mindfulness and flow.

Adapted for lunch times or as an ongoing after-school/out-of-hours workshop series.

 

Professional Development Workshops for teachers and helpers

Learn some simple, expressive, and creative techniques that will help with the regulation of the self, as well as a troublesome child! Workshops can be adapted to suit the needs and challenges of the teachers and helpers.

Neuro-Sparkle Art Club

For neurodivergent and otherwise disabled kids, as an opportunity for body doubling and parallel play, and to encourage all forms of non-speaking communication, in a low-demand, sensory-friendly space.

Processes can include all manner of therapeutic art as listed above, with an extra focus on:

·       Emotional and attention regulation

·       Story writing and storytelling

·       Character design

·       Board game design

·       World-building art

·       Creative games and challenges

·       Fidget/stimming toys available
