Girl Power: HeART Journal Club

Lauren from Inner Worlds Arts Therapy is excited to facilitate a beautiful new workshop at Foundations and Friends.

💜After a little bit of tweaking, we are re-introducing Girl Power: HeART Journal Club, a 5-week therapeutic arts group designed for tween and teen girls who enjoy art, creativity, and expressing themselves in neuro-affirming and strengths-based spaces.

⏰Fridays | 4:00–5:00pm

🗓️5 weeks: Feb 27 | March 6, 13, 20 & 27

📍15 Kilvington Drive, Emerald VIC 3782

Art journals provide a powerful container for exploring themes such as self and identity, imaginative storytelling and memory keeping.

Across the 5 weeks, participants will be gently guided through:

🎨Fun big-kid-friendly mixed media art techniques that are adaptable for all abilities

🖌️Therapeutic art prompts encouraging curiosity and self-reflection

🫟Creative freedom that embraces mess, imperfection, and individuality

✨Opportunities to share their creations in a supportive environment to enhance social skills

All materials are supplied, with the option to choose an A4 or A5 art journal — and yes, there will be glitter and stickers!

🌈About the facilitator:

Lauren is a Creative Arts Therapist and Clinical Counsellor, specialising in creative, neuro-affirming support for children and young people. All of Lauren’s workshops are thoughtfully designed to be community-minded and inclusive.

Cost: $74–$92 per session

(Price depends on enrolment numbers)

Group size: Minimum 4 | Maximum 6 participants
